Their commitment to excellence in design, along with their passion for cultivating a love for the arts, makes them invaluable co-chairs for this year's show, bridging the worlds of architecture and interior design with grace and sophistication.
Maria Crosby Pollard
Maria Crosby Pollard, founder of Crosby Designs, LLC, brings over 25 years of interior design experience and an artist's eye for composition, color, and texture.
Her background includes a BFA in Drawing & Painting from The University of Georgia and early career experience at Sotheby’s in New York. Following a path illuminated by some of the industry’s most celebrated talents, Maria's design philosophy emphasizes the harmony between practical family needs and elegant aesthetics. Known for her collaborative approach, she regularly works with architects, artisans, and decorative artists to create distinctive spaces that incorporate bespoke elements. Her contributions to the arts extend beyond her design practice, as she actively supports the Lamar Dodd School of Art and serves on various boards, including the Designer Circle at the Washington Winter Show.
Val Hawkins
Val Hawkins has dedicated his architectural career to residential design, helping homeowners realize their visions through new constructions, renovations, and additions.
His background, influenced by a father in real estate development and a mother in interior design, equipped him with a unique blend of business acumen and artistic sensibility. Growing up in the historic district of Old Town Alexandria, VA, and having lived in London and Paris, Val’s understanding of historic preservation and his commitment to integrating modern technology into design ensures that each project he undertakes not only retains its cultural significance but also embraces contemporary living.
